Strange Grunting Noise

I have a new guin who I 'adopted' from a friend who couldn't look after him. He gave us the fright of our lives last week when he started wheezing and we rushed him to the vet, who said he had URI and prescribed baytril.

He doesn't like it at all, but has done well on it and his breathing has improved dramatically. However, today I noticed he was making this strange grunting noise, kind of like snoring, it sounds like he's chewing on dry food when he isn't.

Should we take him back to the vet? It's not constant like the wheezing but it's not a noise I've ever heard from a guin before!

Our Snoozy makes a grunts noise - very throaty, quite a deep noise. He doesn't always do it, but when he does, he has Septrin. It does sometimes affect his breathing, so can indicate a brewing URI, but it can slso appear on its own. I would go back to your vet to see what they say.
