hi...I was just wondering if anyone knew any really strange things that guineas pigs do? Its just that my guinea pigs never do anything really that interesting in front of me.

Hi and welcome :)

Cozzie reverses on his back legs while clapping his hands. He does this often ::)

;D
Mine can only clap when going forwards!

One of mine tried to eat New York City :( I even have photographic evidence.

mine does flips of his igglo and hang upside-done on the bars on his cage

Really made me laugh after a long day at work! Thank you

Funniest thing my baby pigs do is to try to sit up and wipe their faces but their balance isn't that great yet and they fall ove!

One of my pigs will bite his feet when you hold him up for longer than he likes. Kind of put me down or the feet get it! Very strange!

if you tickle a certain spot on munchies back, he goes crazy and nibbles anything in sight frantically

its a bit wierd

One of mine gets the bars of the cage between his teeth and pulls the bar as if his trying to open it. He does this everytime I go in the shed and stops when I leave because I look at him through the window before I enter and when I come out and his no where near the bars. His dad (r.i.p) used to do the exact same thing, how strange.

The 'New York City' and 'Hypnotising Zombie Pigs' are hilarious ! I adore popcorning (hence my username), but only my boars have done this. Tumnal the only boar I have at the moment is entirely unafraid of predators, he thinks he is superpig. In the outside enclosure he has two pigloo/castles to hide in - but he chooses to stand ontop of them instead! :D

One of my older sows will chew on the bars when i go out with treats. I think it is her way of getting my attention so she gets given something first! Of course it works a treat :)

mine just sqeek their heads off as soon as any bit of plastic gets rattled! and its one off all 27 start singing!
Same here ;D

Thanks sooo much for all your comments there are some really wierd piggys around. Please keep posting ;)

since i trimmed merlins hair hes developed a habit of sitting on his second level, with his bum pointing at me, and his bum tuft hair sricking out through the bars. like a constant reminder of what ive done to him ::)

also heath has the loudest wheek i have ever heard i swear, my housemates upstairs hear it and know its heath straight away

munchie digs up all the hay on the floor, crawls under it so he is completely hidden from view apart from a big hay mound, and sleeps there all day

when i put the parsley bell on the cage floor, bob picks it up in his teeth and throws it into the food bowl, EVERY TIME ;D that pig must have seriously strong jaws

I have had many pigs do cute things! I used to have a piggy called scruffy who would lift her chin before you even stroked it. I had another piggy called Toffee, she used to love paper and boxes like mad, she would flip them up and go under, and all you could see is this box moving. She also once, some how when I went away for five seconds got on the table into the fruit bowl. She ate bits from 2 apples 1 banana and a few grapes, naughty girl. Most of mine just sit and scream when ever they here doors, bags, chopping. The only one with extra intelligence is Honey and I love her to bits. At the min she is in the bathroom on the bath rug laying flat out, her legs flipped out behind her, like a dog. She understands commands and its quit strange. She is toilet trained too and runs from the carpet back to her box for a pee. If she is on your lap she talks to you, to say mum I need to go, she does this every time. Hun pop corns all the time and loves the fuss, she behaves like a cat/dog not a guinea pig. She is also naughty and she is always looking for wires to chew, I cannot stop that, although I have hidden most and sprayed the rest to put her off.

I had mine out doing the shopping, but she only brought one thing home? never trust a piggy to do the shopping!
