One of my boars, Mr Hazel sometimes makes weird clicking noises. They sound close to the sound that a person makes when they want a horse to get moving. Hahaha it's the only way I can think of to describe it! I've heard my pigs sneeze before, and it's nearly like that as well... yet it is a shorter, more staccato sound, if that makes sense. Does anyone have an idea what it might be?

Hi love......... erm i'd be asking your vets to do a full check :)
Best not to ignore anything you think is different.
Give Mr. Hazel some wheeeeeeeeeks from the girls and I xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

If you use sawdust as bedding it could be that, my little Chester pig has difficulties breathing around sawdust and his breathing clicks also with fresh hay he clicks a little too, just an idea (:

I use newspapers and fleece for the bedding in his cage which are changed out every third day as he and his cage mate/son Nigel pee so very much! I've only noticed this sound after he has had his veggies in the evening. I'm pretty sure what I'm hearing might be the hiccups! If it persists then I will certainly be taking him into the vet for a once over.

It sounds a little like he is teeth chattering (clicking his teeth together) they can do this as a warning to other pigs to not get too close or they will bite, or even us if we are doing somthing they dont like, if it is only during veggie time it might be him warning his cage mates off.pow-pow
