Hello

Health checking my guinea pigs today and found my larger girl has got a lump on her stomach which is soft size of a grape and isn’t causing her any pain at all when touched she’s still healthy weight eating drinking zoomies squeaking everything she’s her normal self. Any idea what it could be could it be a fat lump I will be monitoring and if it grows I will take her to the vet and get it checked just wanted to ask on here first and what would be the vet price for checking what it is

Thank you

I’m sorry to hear that

I’m afraid we cannot suggest what it might be as there are a multitude of things as a possibility, but all lumps require a hands on check by a vet - it could be a harmless fat lump but it could also be something requiring treatment.

I would go to the vet now rather than monitor and see if it gets bigger. A grape sized lump is at a size to get checked. The reason being is that is if it is something which needs treatment or removal, it is much easier to do it early and before it grows.

I hope she is ok
