Strange Noise

I was playing with my guinea pig Aggie and I was petting her. Anyway, when i touched a part of her back, right at the end and near the bum she began to make a weird rumbly growly kind of noise. I am sort of new to guinea pigs so i dont understand what all of their noises and behaviours mean. I was wondering if someone knows what is going on or has experienced the same thing!

Was it like a strange purring? A bit of vibrating as well? Probably means she doesn’t really want you touching her down there, mine do it too if I go too close to the back end! Hope that helps

Betsy particularly loves a good ol' cheek rub. If I stop she pushes her cheek into my finger asking me to carry on! When she is up tight the only way to calm her down is be gently stroking her under her left eye (NEVER her right eye) with my right index finger nail and she is calm in about 30 seconds.

Oh Poppy loves that too, a good scratch on her cheek she loves, then whips her head round if I dare stop
