strange noise

hello people.

since i got david he seems to make a strange noise and i have never sussed out what it is. However i briefly heard craig do it for the first time the other day and just wondered do guinea pigs grind their teeth?

it sounds a bit like a grinding noise and he normally does it when i pick him up, if i put my finger on top of his head i can feel a little vibration when he is doing it.i also questioned is he sniffing up when he is doing it like making a sniffy sound.

I did think it was his breathing and the rodentologist said there was clicky breathing when i took him that came and went. However he doesnt seem to sneeze as much no

Yes they do grind their teeth, Spike does it if he doesn't like something. A noise or if I stop stroking him sometimes!

They can grind their teeth.....I also have one who clicks her front teeth. No problems there, she just "clicks" whenever she feels impatient. rolleyes
