strange substance in cage?

hi people

just gone to the pigs cage now i may be being naive here but iv found a big ball (about the same size and shape as a cherry probably bigger) solified ball of white stuff which i could only describe as pva glue. If it wasnt so big i would think it was sperm but honest its a whopping size it looks rather odd.

Does anyone have a clue what it is? iv put it in the bin before anyone asks for a pic.

on a serious note i hope they are ok xx
 
Yeah that sounds like sperm to me. Rather big though.


That stuff is awful, spesh when they get it on their fur or stick their willys together, bless them.x
 
I agree it sounds like boar glue, I've never had the delights of this with any of my lot - thankfully! :))
 
o my word haha yak. well its stuck to poor davids bottom to and i cant get it off. Has anyone any tips.

wait till i tell my boyfriend elliot what it is, he was inspecting it last night HAHAHHAHAHA XXXXXXX
 
If it wasn't stuck too close to the skin, I found a pair of scissors the easiest and quickest way to remove it, frankly!

For some reason, Nerys, my big lady, tends to get some on her nose every now and then. Makes you really wonder...
 
It doesn't make me wonder a lot... Bo, for example, is not very particular about which end he goes for when the urge sets in...

that said I've never seen glue on any of my piggies or in the cage. Is is gone because he is neutered? (but the your boy shouldn't have any either, Wiebke?)

Glue is rare with Llewelyn, thankfully, but he can still produce it, obviously!

Warm sugar solution is supposed to be the best thing! But yes, if it's not too close to the skin then cut it off (carefully!) :))
 
I always find I have to cut it off. Nasty stuff!

I've seen one of my boys eating it... urrrgh. Somehow wouldn't be quite as bad if it was his own but it wasn't!
 
Not seen this on Johnny yet, if I do I will ask Ross to inspect it without telling him what it is and then look at his face lol.
 
I knew I would regret reading this thread. All my boys are nice boys, we don't do the boar glue thing. They have been warned, so they wouldn't dare! lol xx

Oh no! Why did I get boars? I so do not want to have to deal with that!
