another question lol my sister keeps telling me to get Waffles a salt lick but I looked into it and what I found is that their a waste of money, is this true? Also my step mum told me to take away the hay and replace it with straw but I read it’s too sharp for them.

I’m afraid your family are wrong- salt licks are bad and hay is better than straw! Stick with what you’re doing x

Salt licks are not necessary for piggies and can be detrimental so please don’t buy one.
Straw has no nutritional value piggies and has blunt edges that can cause injuries to piggies. Straw should be avoided.
A piggy’s diet is 90% hay so please do not remove or substitute hay from your piggy’s cage. Hay and straw are not interchangeable.

Thank you, I was being told I wasn’t caring for Waffles, properly, if I didn’t get him a salt lick and fed him stray

We are here to help. The reality is that you are caring properly for him by not giving salt licks and straw.

The more hay your piggies eat the healthier they will be. They need access to hay 24/7. Mine live on hay, have a hay tray to play in and have hay in hay racks so they can take their pick on where they want to eat it. They usually eat the stuff that they have wee'd and pooped on though :vom: I think it must taste nicer!:lol!:
