Straw For Bedding ?

Do you think it would be ok to use straw for my piggies bedding? I'm thinking it will last longer for them I will be pilling in the hay aswell ?

Unfortunately Straw is to course & your in danger of the piggies being poked in the eye. It could then lead to blindness.

chopped straw bedding eg basic bliss,rivera bedding for horses is ok to use,but not long straw used for rabbits.It is too harsh and guinea pigs are low to the ground .this causes a very high risk of eye pokes ,injuries .

I use straw as substrate, but hemp straw (Aubiose) rather than cereal straw.
