just wondering if guinea pigs can eat strawberries? also i have just moved and no access to my garden at the mo due to it being over grown and will not be done for another 6 months or so. what else can I do for their exercise as they were out in their run every day eating grass now they are not getting any grass. I feel they are sufferring without going out in to the garden. what do I give them to keep them to keep them healthy while they are indoors? please help, or shall i be thinking of giving them a new home, which my daughters will be very heartbroken

thanks for the advice. but dont they need regular exercise?. tey not getting none at the mo. they are in their cages

their cages are an ok size, not enough 2 run about in tho, and there is 2 piggys per cage!

It may be a good idea to get an indoor run for them whilst they don't have access to the garden. I use a run made out of the grids which are used for C&C cages which is 4x3, I put down a waterproof mat and cover it in two towels. They love running around in it and after being in it a while you notice that their tummies are higher off the ground than when they first go in it so it must be doing them good. Also, it's easy to collapse so you can pack it up very easily.

If you can't get the grids then there are similar runs available on eBay.

Hi
This is the set up that I use so that my girls can run around safely indoors. They live in a hutch in our out building. Because it is too cold for them to run around in their outdoor run, we allow them to run around in our kitchen where we turn off the radiator so that the temperature isn't much different to the outbuilding in which they live :)
