My Earnie has got poo matted on his fur near his bottom and he just won’t let me cut it out he’s teeth chattering, keeps going to bite me, squeaking, running away etc. It seems to be hindering in him walking as it’s matted that much it’s at the back of his feet. Does anyone have any suggestions on a way for me to get This out? I’ve tried bribing him with veggies and having Norman sat next to him to put him at ease but nothing seems to be helping all I’m doing is making him stressed:(

Great idea @Betsy. We had to give Cocoa a bum bath recently & it was a two man job, I used a shallow tray. She quite liked it though /didn’t complain & all I used was warm/tepid water. I didn’t have any guinea pig shampoo. She is short haired though so it was quite easy. x

Thanks @Hoppity.K I need to give Betsy another bum bath soon as she is starting to get all matted around the back and is falling out with the brush again. I normally give her a bit of a trim first at the "Ironing Board Salon" beforehand.

My Earnie is so feisty and his hair grows a lot longer and faster than Norman’s. Norman is the complete opposite he loves getting pampered haha, but Earnie can’t stand it. I will get someone to help me with him I hate making him feel uncomfortable but it really needs doing. He’s been hiding away from me all morning, not even come out for his veggies :mal:

He'll soon forgive you.
