Do you mean runner beans, I know that the beans inside them are poisonous until they are cooked and that is for us humans.

My pigs have green beans or dwarf beans. They're smaller than runner beans and much nicer looking. :)

Mine eat green beans too but only if they're split in half lengthways! I'd tried on numerous occasions and it was only when they were cut open that they'd be eaten! :)

I don't really eat beans myself so I didn't realise there were so many different types (and various names for each type) until I started exploring the veg aisles for my piggies! The ones I give are called fine beans. They're round, not flat like some beans, and aren't knobbly. The pods are tender and the beans inside are tiny.

We did feed ours beans however that was around the time that we lost a number of our herd so we haven't fed them since. There was no evidence at all that the beans were responsible but we were so paranoid at the time that changed their brand of food and stopped giving them beans.

Mine love fine beans, green beans etc... I tried sugar snap peas and they got the big thumbs down!

Yeh same here, i tried sugar snaps and mange tout but they didn't even get a slight nibble lol.
Although I'm going to keep trying, as when I first got my boys they wouldn't eat tomatoe, peppers or strawberries, but I tried them yesturday with strawberries and tomatoes, and they ate them all up :D (well mostly Biscuit ate the strawberry, but both liked the tomatoe, so maybe they are ready to try more foods again lol
