My mom died of cancer at 76. Strokes and cancer are on her side of the family. My grandpa had dementia from a stroke. So did his sister.

My mom did genetic testing on her cancer and it's not genetic so I can worry a little less.

My dad has excellent health on his side of the family except my grandpa had dementia. My dad is 78 and he has sciatica and pain issues but not cancer or dementia.

Both my great grandparents lived to 98.

But yes, health is wealth. I'm sorry about your mom.

They eat hay and Stripe decided today he doesn't want crunchy bears but wants oxbow cookies. Chez doesn't want crunchy bears but wants premi yums. He'll eat Timothy biscuits if I leave the room. If not he'll beg for some premi yums.

My piggies go through cycles of veggies and salads. It also depends on how fresh the veg is. They are fussy little creatures 🥰

Oh dear Chez, maybe best not to hang out on the cat forum. Although funny, it’s also quite insulting to be confused with another animal. 🙁
 
Stripe's water bottle is leaking. I'll have to get out the spare.

They've been getting extra cucumber.

Chezzy no longer waits patiently for his turn at floor time. He bites the bars the entire time Stripe is out. He has really grown to love floor time and he used to be scared.

Chez is turning into a cuddle bunny 🥰
 
Stripe is occasionally smacking. His weight is stable and his poo is nice and big. He doesn't do it all the time. He inhales his veg and munches his cookies. But occasionally he smacks which isn't normal for him.

So next Friday we're going to the vet. I hope he just has something in his teeth. I hope he doesn't need a trim or has an abscess. Kinda a long time to wait but that's what they had.
