Stripe and Chesney

It's embarrassing, too. Already it's embarrassing to have to have special accomodations but for them to be so rude.

Plus this is a psychiatric institution, they are supposed to be compassionate. Surely it's obvious I have a mental illness after telling them I have no physical limitations.
Hugs to you @Ramia

Mom came in early with lettuce.

Her dad has a semi feral cat that needs to see a vet and he's having trouble getting him in the carrier. He might call a mobile vet.

Stripe got spooked at floor time yesterday.

She's gotta go to the car and get a fresh bag of hay now

I hope the doctor's note will be enough. Is there anyone who can act as an advocate for you?

The boys are having a happy morning.

They aren't used to the new routine yet which is floor time at 6 pm. On days I don't work it's in the morning and now that it's in the evening Stripe is spooked in the playpen. He hasn't adapted yet.

Ahhh clean cages.

Kinda lessens the fact that I got less veg this morning. I had some soft poop.

Health check good. I didn't step in poo like last time and I was less wiggly.

We get floor time soon. But we might not want to leave our clean cages.

Tantrum boy didn't want to be in the playpen.

I presented him with the snuggle sack taxi. On the wrong side. So he teeth chattered.

Okay, I put the snuggle sack on his right side and he wheeked and went in.

Guys mom sent her doctor's note and they were rude.

They sent her some forms to get filled out by her provider and said her training has to be put on hold until a decision is made.

So she's not going to work this morning.

Mom's worried about not being paid.

Trustee said if they fire her the trust will pay for a consultation with her lawyer.

Mom's hoping to sue but hey maybe they can work together and It won't come to that.

Surely if Mom has a Doctor's note they have to abide by it and not be rude about it. It takes a special kind of person to work with such damaged people and they won't be queuing up so anyone who is interested shouldn't be ruled out.

Try not to take it personally 🙁 They are probably assessing risk as these large healthcare organisations are quite risk averse. You have your rights. I think they are probably obligated to find a compromise and to consider risks. They probably want time to assess the situation. If you are enjoying the training so far and doing OK at it, that should stand you in good stead. It is a job with its stresses and the shifts are quite long. Perhaps once the training is over, they could consider letting you work in an area that is less stressful, such as older adults? I hope it all turns out OK. I think they won't have an issue paying you, but you might need to make a choice about what work you would prefer and where you wish to work. I really hope it works out OK. 🙏❤️

It is a lovely ring and Stripe is just the right piggy to match with it 🥰 📸 💍

Would you still consider language-teaching? I see Mango Languages are looking for someone p/t for French, either at a certain location or online. Mango Languages is somewhat like Duolingo but meant to be a lot better! Learners have to pay, unless they're learning an endangered language.

Of course there may be a whole lot of reasons why teaching online for ML would be a bad idea and you don't need to tell me, but thought I'd mention it. Otherwise I agree with Truffolo.

So sorry to hear it’s not going too well at work, echo what others have said but sending so many well wishes (ps love the ring and the model!)

Good morning guys I am so lucky to have my trustee for advice.

I got some paperwork filled out about my disability and they said per licensing requirements all staff have to be trained on third shift.

She said they could try and find me another position in the company but if not ..

Here's the clincher, I might have to "resign" and apply at a later time.

Trustee said they are trying to get me to resign to save their butts and to call Monday for an update and to let them know I'm not going away and definitely do not resign we will get a lawyer.

If I have to get another job I will work with the elderly until a teaching position opens up at the college.

I told my sister this and she said I was entitled and think I'm an exception to every rule. She's a narcissist according to my therapist.

Thanks for reading this rant

Veggie time

"Have to be trained on the third shift" doesn't say anything about having to be available for the WHOLE third shift though. However idk about your rights in the US.
Good luck, at least your trustee has your back!

Good news Mom got us a new kind of cookie we're going to try.

Better news, she might have found a job within the company that works with her restrictions!

It's called peer support specialist and you coach mentally ill people and lead groups.

More details when I get them.

Here's the boys eating some treats. I really think Stripe is the more intelligent of the two. Chesney is the zoomer and chutter.

How much rumbling is normal?

I recently adopted a neutered boar and a sow both adults. My answer for the rumbling is a lot for my boar 🤣 He'll even do it when exploring his cage. He just loves rumbling!
