The boys got a new cookie, Crunchy Bears.
For once Chez liked it but not Stripe.
Kept offering it to Stripe and he'd move away. It's in his cage if he changes his mind.

She cleaned hay off the floor with a rubber broom and took away garbage.
We were so excited we were popcorning away.
Mom thought maybe we thought she was going to clean cages? Who knows.

Holy crapola. Mom was on the porch smoking and ten feet away...a huge skunk! It was really cute but she didn't feel like being sprayed and having to get the stench out! She wouldn't know how and the smell would get in the house.
Luckily it crossed the road to the neighbors. She doesn't care if it sprays them because she doesn't like them.
Well we get our cages cleaned. Currently munching breakfast and listening to e.

Phew! Glad 
left you alone! They cause quite a stink and it can take a number of weeks for the smell to really fade, even when you use the magic remedy, which used to be tomato sauce or tomato juice, but is now something else.
It's good you boys get to enjoy your breakfast without any skunk stink around. That stuff's so powerful, it can make your eyes water.

Phew - skunks really can stink a place out.

Do you have actual experience with them, @Merab ? I do because we lived in Canada, and we had a labrador who just never learnt that skunks should be avoided...

Yes - I did a placement in Upstate New York many years ago. There were skunks.

The skunk has been back!
Mom went out to smoke ten minutes ago, nothing.
Well she went out to smoke again just now and it smells out there!
She narrowly missed getting sprayed!
That darn thing must be living around here.
No more smoking this morning till she gets in the car.
