Katie Krafter
Teenage Guinea Pig
Stripe died suddenly this morning. He was fine yesterday evening when I checked them all around 10pm and gave them evening hay and fresh water. However, this morning, it was obvious that he was in trouble and despite rushing him to the vet, he died on the way there. The vet thinks it was a gut blockage which caused bloat. She thinks there may have been an underlying problem as well, as it all happened so fast.
Stripe was our first guinea pig (for my children, and my first as an adult). He came to use from Joanne Lockley at Hutches Rescue, where he had been born. He was a rex, a big chunky boy, and we, especially best friend Parkin, will miss him loads.
RIP, Stripe, run free at the Bridge, little one!
