i've noticed that with my girls (not so much the boys) that if you stroke their fur backwards (bum to head) they make a weird purring noise. i'm guessing they dont like it cos they dont do it when you stroke them the right way.
but as sadie is a peruvian you have to stroke her the wrong way as she 'purrs' if you stoke her head to bum.
hope that made sense? @)

Many piggies do not like being stroked the wrong way round although which way is the wrong way very much depends on the breed. Some piggies like abys don't have a wrong way, as their fur goes in all directions.

Abys have a wrong way...or rather, multiple wrong ways :)) Unlike all my other piggies, I don't stroke Elphie's bottom end because it is the opposite way of her fur, so I only stroke the top half.

I know the noise you mean. This is actually a piggy purr. They generally don't like being stroked the wrong way, but every now and then is fine and mine seem to enjoy the occasional backward stroke, hence the noise. They squeak or jump when they don't like it, normally.

River piggy-purrs when I stroke her bum :))

Treacle dances when I stroke her the wrong way she loves it, Humbug too (she's abby), Liquorice can take it or leave it, BonBon, I only have to blow on her bum and she runs, so they're all very different with their reactions :)
