I posted a few days about my pig Fudge having blood in his urine (he's often suffered from UTI's).

He ended up getting quite poorly quite suddenly, his eyes were sunken in and he wasn't very lively. I started him on antibiotics on Wednesday, after a vet trip on Monday and waiting for urine sample results. He started to improve, he was lively, looked happier and healthier.

It was my birthday yesterday so I went out for 3 hours for a birthday meal, I had him out before I went and syringe fed him and gave him veggies and he was fine, when I came home he was just led flat out in his cage, not even under his shelf and couldn't move.

I thought that was it, I was an absolute mess. I held him for 3 hours but he was fine, just enjoying cuddles, eating, drinking, pooping, weeing.

I set his cage up so he could get to everything over night and put him on my bedroom floor (in the cage). This morning he's still eating and drinking, pooping and weeing. He can walk slowly, but he got excited and tried to run and fell on his side, and the same when he tried to turn around too quickly. He's now in his cage just lying in his wee and poop (I've cleaned it).

I'm reluctant to take him to the vet just yet as it stresses him out so much and if it is close to the end I want him to be comfortable and happy. He's on painkillers as well as the antibiotic and he's taking syringe feeds.

I'm just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience? I'm debating getting him put to sleep but I really don't want to unless he's really suffering. (He seems happy, eating, inquisitive, etc)

Edit: he's also been struggling to poop, occasionally I can see the odd poop around but I have been having to help him for a couple of weeks, and since last night his bum isn't very responsive when I try to push on the sides to ease them out.

I think he needs to see a vet as an emergency. Ask for an x-ray as that would help diagnose any issues with his spine or a bladder stone which could be lodged and affecting his legs.

If he were my pig l would take him to the vets asap, but firstly I would try lightly massage ing his legs to try and stimulante the blood supply, he could have a blood clot or somthing like that!
Massarge can also help relax him

Please tell us how he gets on
