Struggling with handling!

I have had my two guinea pigs for a month. One is easy (ish) to handle and eventhough she wriggles I can keep a hold of her. But the other wriggles so much and backs up out of the side of my arm every time! She wont sit still & I'm so worried Ill drop her snd she'll run off🙈 she literally leaps out my arms when she sees her cage :/ what do I do? Theres no way she'll ever let me clip her nails! And I'm worried I hurt her trying to hold on to her sometimes :(
 
To easily transport your piggies you can use a cosie or tunnel. Just lure one inside the tunnel or cosie then cover the openings and bring the guinea pig to wherever you want them to be. For nail clipping I usually have a family member help me. A person usually has the piggy on their knee, showing me the pigs belly. And I just clip away. Or you can use a towel and wrap it around your piggy to hold them easier when clipping nails.
 
Don't panic, it may not be that bad. One of my pigs is pretty dramatic when he gets uncomfortable, but I have a very easy time cutting his nails, surprisingly. But if it turns out she really moves a lot, there are several techniques you can try, and the videos abound on YouTube.

There are some cool guides here that can help you making them more comfortable around you. They're really something! My piggies are with me for little more than a month as well, and they have responded pretty well to the whispering tricks. Try them!

I second a cozy/cuddle cup or tunnel. It can be placed inside cage with an offering of food inside then you just carefully pick up the item. As for cutting for now it may be a two person job and reward with a bit of greens to make the pig forget about the moment that just happened.
I have an anxious pig that isn't fond of being held unless he's right in my neck. The other day my shirt buttons failed me and funny enough he went through the opening and layed on my chest. Made for easy nail trimming. Your piggy will get more comfortable in time xx
