Since moving in with my partner (eight months ago now….!) my two piggies Noodle and Tofu have won him round completely. He went from ‘they’re cute and they make you happy but I am not particularly interested’ to ‘awww the piggies are wheeking when I come home! Can I give them some veggies early?’ in less than a month 😂

The boys love him too, they handfed from him in the first week after the move and know he’s the one more likely to slip them some extra herbs or veg when he’s cooking. They’ve gone from one papa to a daddy and a papa and I think they are very happy piggies lol

A couple of months back, my partner asked if we could give them their daily veg inside a stuffed pepper. I couldn’t see any reason why not (as long as we stuck to the normal 100g total) so he very excitedly started chopping up cucumber coriander and lettuce into strips to fit inside a small green pepper. Here is the video result! Noodle and Tofu had a great time

If we do it again I might cut the pepper in half, or stuff two so they don’t try and run off with it 😆 I did make sure they got an even share of this one

Partner didn’t believe me at first when I said that guinea pigs steal hearts… now he’s helping me with Tofu’s eye infection, looking to upgrade their cage when we (hopefully) move house in a few months, and bookmarking their favourite carrot cottage and foraging treats to surprise them with. My boys have two humans wrapped around their paws now!

It doesn't take long for piggies to train a slave!

They will still be after the same one. Piggy logic is "If you have it I want it even though there is another that is exactly the same right next to me".

This made me laugh out loud, thanks for that! 100% accurate (and I will remember this next time they fight over the water bottle despite there being an identical one a few inches away)

It was a really fun idea, I'm glad my partner thought of it as it had never occurred to me. Would love to see results if any of you do give it a go!

We did have to pick quite a small pepper so it wouldn't go too much over their daily veg amount but the fun was totally worth going a little bit over. They spent most of their time munching through the pepper to get to the goodies inside

Love the stuffed pepper idea.
I’m going to give that a go.
It won’t matter if you do provide 2 - they will want the same one!

Yes, they do steal our hearts very quickly as my husband can testify too.
