Hello all!
my little Phoenix was a little sneezy today. And it worried me. So I got him out and saw a piece of green inside one nostril. And was worried !
He also had some whistling breathing while inhaling.
however! After grooming himself and a few huffs later the sound when he breathed was gone and so was what he had in his nose.
Is this the start of a URI ? Or does it seem something may have been lodged in his one nostril?

Piggies have very narrow airways and are very greedy and hay up the nose is quite common! If it cleared after a few sneezes and huffs and a bit of grooming its probably nothing to worry about, but monitor your piggy closely for a few days and any odd breathing sounds when not eating hay too fast, or any tiredness, rapid breathing, loss of appetite, or looking hunched and fluffed up, are all signs of illness and would need a vet check x

Thank you. It seemed to clear up. He’s been eating hay all morning when he’s have his sneezes. And there’s some little pieces in it.
ill be monitoring him , and giving extra vitamin C! He won’t complain.
