My little man Spike has always been a nervous pig when it comes to catching him but tonight even I was shocked! He did his usual routine of hiding and running around like a maniac and the next thing I know he has jumped in his hay rack :o

I nearly died and he just seemed to be stuck there until I fished him out. It's been an hour and I don't think he's hurt but I have since moved the hay rack higher!

It's been a funny weekend with animals for me... dog is been sick and has diarrohea so I've already been to the vet with him so don't want my next trip to be with a guin!

My Honey is a Genius! He sings to me at night and calls me up on his mobile phone during the day. He's super intelligent! ;D ;)

I don't think my guinea pig is actually stupid..... but just as human beings do stupid things that could cause them harm so too did Spike. He could have really hurt himself.

I nursed him for an hour and gave him something to eat just to make sure. I nearly died and still have no idea what possessed him! He is obviously VERY highly strung just like me!

I just wonder if he will ever let me pick him up more I hoped that when I got Buffy he would learn from her because she was much calmer but now she runs around like a loon so its backfired.

what a strange thing to do! i think you have an aerobic piggie there! :D

Awwww I'm sure he would have learned and will let you pick him up soon!

JoJo ran away from us once and ran into a gravy tube and got stuck! LOL

just animal instinct, get anywhere that could be a hiding place from the big hands trying to grab me!

my two babies have learnt to try and usy my hand as a spring board when i pick them up 98)

Have to almost use straight jackets to pick the lil up!

LOL straight jackets ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Yep if they're like that at the start they don't really change much, our boy still runs away even when he knows he's getting food ::) :D :D :D

Henry sits in the hayrack to eat his hay, he usually gets under it and eats from the inside. Lol I'll catch him and get a pic one day. George used to do it when he was a baby, but now he just eats it the regular way. Henry can reach the regular, but he's just acrobatic I think... 98)

Ive had a couple of piggies that climb into their hayrack, sometimes on purpose. I walk into the room and there they are other times its been when a loud noise has made them jump or hiding from the veggie bowl when they were younger. They dont jump in it any more, since they have grown up they stand at the front of the cage and wheek for me lol
