Stupid people!

Makes you wonder if they were looked after properly too as the owner has clearly done no research before getting them!
I've only had guineas for a month but was doing my research for a month before hand and still finding useful tips, frustrates me :(
 
Same! I researched for about four months and got everything way in advance too. I get so sad seeing all the unwanted animals on gumtree. :(
 
"Find a home with children" "They will never have babies" Take a look at 5th pic. (I think it was 5th)....
 
I know its totally off topic, But I have noticed a lot of these ads are from people who it seems cannot type in English, It annoys me when I People dont make the effort to word adverts correctly etc lol
Sorry that out of the way and I think this person is very stupid!
 
The owner probably realized she was pregnant and now wants them gone immediately. UGH Some people bug me!
 
She should be reported for this stupid advert! The cage looks tiny too. :(
 
It's absolutely ridiculous, I can't believe how reckless this woman is. I had to send her a message to say that she should not be so naive to think that they will not mate cos 'DANA IS VERY STUBBURN GUINEA PIG LADY' and that, if she ever considers getting animals again, she should research very carefully and try to be more responsible. IMHO, these people have to be told.
 
Well done for sending her a message. I looked to see if there was some way to report the advert. How can she think the female will refuse to mate and that is that!mallethead
 
Oh well done for that. I wonder if they will do anything about it. I almost want to rescue the poor guinea pigs just to get them away from her but I have no space. :(
 
What annoys me the most on gumtee is when they can't even spell the name of the animal they are spelling:

"Ginee pig"
"Chiwawa"
"rotwiler"

The list goes on, I mean theres a thing called spell check! :x


The one thing that annoys me more than anything is: "Have to get rid of because..." Yes sometimes we have to rehome our pets but do they really have to say rid?! grrrr
 
You are so right! Like when I saw my Sophie on sale there for five pounds like she was nothing and they said children had out grown her. I just could not leave her all alone. The children were both under two so that was a lie. I asked what she liked to eat and they said peelings. They were stupid and clueless and had not given her the love and care she needed. I am so glad she is mine now.
 
Will this little Girly need a c-section then if our suspicions of her being pregnant are correct?

I am seeing more and more adverts with two guinea pigs for rehoming, which I guess in a way is a good thing but you still get the odd few that are alone in a tiny cage :( I have had a couple off gumtree and wouldnt change them for the world but its such a shame they just get disposed of after a while :(
 
I want to rescue them toooo but don't have the means to get them here or the room to keep them :(

So either she's removed her post after I messaged her or Gumtree have because I tried accessing it and it's not there.

She replied to my message, I am absolutely gobsmacked that she just proceeded to repeat that Dana just does not allow him to mate with her! Her ignorance and denial that she's doing anything wrong has made me super angry! [deep breaths] lol Then she decided to ignore that I'd asked her if she'd had Dana checked by the vet to see if she's pregnant, and she obviously hasn't as she said that she looks pregnant all the time. Normally I give people the benefit of the doubt, but I can't believe for one second that it's true in this case.
 
Oh my god! She really is an idiot. The poor little one is clearly pregnant. I dread to think what will happen when the babies are born. :(
 
I can't see the ad which is just as worrying - feel this is not going to be a happy ending at all and nothing anyone can do :...:0
