my george has a bum that colour i just bathe him and leave it to be that way as no way I'd get it off! white bottoms are so annoying :))

thanks guys! the poor girl is so round she can't groom herself properly even, I've noticed she can only reach so far.

now I am cursing :)) what do I do about it? 8...

I'm not sure what to do about it. :( I just wash his bottom when ever I lift him and see that he has just peed on himself, this way it wont stay there for long. Its like the white of his fur just obsorbs everything. :| But I think I was at WalMart (not sure if you all have them? :red ) But went towards the kitty area (we have cats too) and saw a shampoo for kittens I do believe, it said the word "whitening" (sorry for my spelling) and saw a white kitten on it. I dont know if thats safe to use on them, but it could be good research to do. :{ lol

I basically live in Wal-Mart :p :)) Yesterday when we scoured the store for things to wash her in, I saw some whitening shampoo for dogs, we smelled it and the aroma was extremely purfumey (don't worry about you're spelling, I am making up words :p ) and I wasn't sure if that was harmful to piggies or not. So we went on the safe side and got Aveeno unscented hypoallergenic shampoo.

Poor white piggies! :(

^Take a look at behind her ear.....should I be concerned about the hair loss? I am seriously considering taking her to the vet tomorrow to get her checked out.

All piggies have a little bald patch behind the ears and is nothing to worry about. No harm in taking her to the vets just to get her checked out etc.. tho, they might be able to advise you if she's pregnant again or not...

P.S. They're all very lovely happy looking Guins!

Okay, thanks! I was only worried because it seemed so much larger than the spot behind my Sheltie's ears.

called the vet we usually take the cats to and they said they only see one or two guinea pigs a year and only for respiratory issues. So I guess I need to find a different vet and see if any see guineas, though I am a little disappointed because we've seen these vets for our cats for the last 7 years and really love them.

Haha thanks. And yeah, I saw the one for dogs too, but I didnt think that one was such a good idea either. And yeah Poor White Guinea Piggies! :(

yet another question....sorry guys!

None of three will touch veggies or fruit! They just want their pellets. I have offered:

Apples
Green Peppers
Green Beans
Cucumber
Carrots
Cherry Tomatoes
Romaine Lettuce
Corn on the Cob
Grapes

and they all remained untouched.

I assume I just keep offering....?
