Do you have to do anything to it before you let piggies or buns use it? My grandad has quite a large patch and would let me take them in turns to have a much, unfortunately I don't have a grassy back garden, and whilst I'm sure the concrete doesn't bother them I'd really love for them to have some fresh grass to play in occasionally.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I've never had to deal with grass before.

I was told to introduce mine to grass gradually, for half an hour first time and a bit longer each time after cos if they aren't used to grass and they eat too much it can make them poorly.
Not sure if there's anything else you'd need to do but hope that helps x

Please make sure the lawn hasn't recently been treated with any weed killer or lawn food, as this can be highly toxic.

Also check that there are no poisonous plants or lots of bird poo/ feathers.

We always feed our boy with veggies and lots of hay before a spell in the garden..

Ok, what plants are poisonous? I don't think my grandad treats the grass with anything, they generally just leave it there to grow.

Creeping buttercups mainly, but too many daisies are also not good. Dock is poisonous, too.
