Phew, it's been a nervous few days in our house! (and that doesn't include Christmas!)

A few days ago our girls, Pippa and Willow, met Pixel our new baby pig.

I can't tell you how just how well the introductions have gone! We used the 'Sofa Technique' where we placed a new fleece blanket on the couch so smells were all neutral. Simon sat with Pixel on his lap and I had Pippa and Willow on mine. Not being lap-pigs, the big girls quickly wriggled free and went for a wander round. They soon caught Pixel's eye and she leaned over for a sniff. Happy that they were piggies like her she clambered down for a closer look.

I was waiting for the chattering to start and was ready to throw my cardigan over them at the first sign of aggression, but nothing! I expected Pippa to show her who was in charge but nope, she followed her round and allowed Pixel to follow her. Willow wasn't really interested at all and just ignored her for the first 15 minutes or so. A shared handful of pepper and parsley sealed the friendship between all three though!

Just one day later, we took Pixel out for some lap tme and she was squeaking at the top of her little voice for the other two. Pippa even shouted back. So sweet!

I'm so proud of them all! And more than a little relieved too.

If anything, I think it's actually made Pippa and Willow closer too. They never snuggled together and always used seperate pigloos, but I came downstairs this morning to find all three snuggled in their bed. All three have been very giddy recently (although itmay also be something to do wit the new hay they have too!)

Anyway, I have a few pics of the happliy together..

Aww they are apsolutley gorgeous! x) I'm so glad the got on well together! :) Guinea Pigs are so much easier to bond than rabbits! :)) Oh and you're right! Willow has very similar markings to my Fudge! (you said on another thread) ;)

They are adorable, such a sweet group - I am so pleased the introductions went so smoothly!

AWWWW - they make such a cute group! x)

I am so glad that everything went really well! :))

Thanks everyone!

I'm really pleased too. I thought Pippa may have a bit of a go or at least show her who was in charge but still there's not been a peep. They're quickly becoming the best of friends and will often follow each other round.

Saying that it's Willow and Pixel who are cuddled under a blanket right now! xx>>>

aww, they look like they were born to be together! a very cute trio! x
