Hi, we all came home from school and work this evening as normal, Autumn was out of her cage in no time playing in her pen and bright and playful She has has her tea and eaten it all and I have seen her drinking from her bottle and pooing/ weeing. However, she has started to make this really odd grunting like its coming from deep inside and its in time with her breathing which seems to have increased? Any ideas, I am really worried and its 9.30pm on a Friday night! I just stroke her and she purred and she has just eaten another half of carrot but the noise is really different to anything she has ever done before and I am fearful it has something to do with her breathing. Help please from concerned 1st time guinea pig mum x

If it is still there by tomorrow morning, have her seen by a vet.

OK thank you, I have altered my details now. I am Hampshire UK. Really panicked that I should be doing something about it tonight but she seems OK in herself (ie running about, eating and she was still purring and squeaking for her food as normal).

As she is perfectly fine in herself, I would just observe. if you wish, you can make a little video to help us get an idea what is going on. You can find our piggy savvy vet locator on the top bar, as well as tips for uploading.
