Huge shock and gone too soon but my little chocolate hippo went to her forever sleep during the night.
She was fine Tuesday evening, racing around as usual, a bit quiet yesterday morning, then during the Wednesday evening cage clean piggy daddy noticed something was badly wrong- she was very sleepy and didnt seem to know where she was... no signs of illness or pain just dazed and half asleep...
We popped her back in a clean fleecy bed to snuggle with Ollie for her last few hours and she had peacefully gone by morning.
Sleep tight little hippo, you were a complete manic nutter who lived life twice as fast as all the other piggies, and devoted Ollie husboar loved you from the first time he met you 3 years ago right until he couldn't wake you up this morning x

I'm so sorry for your loss.
Your little chocolate hippo piggy was a forum star and her antics will be missed by many on here. Hope Ollie Pigwig will be OK over the next few days on his own without his hyper wife. Hugs to you all at this sad time xx

Oh no! Can't believe I'm reading this. Such a shock.
Loved hearing all about Tallulah, she was such a cutie. She had the most amazing home with you, piggy daddy and Ollie wig.
Sending massive hugs.
Sleep tight little chocolate hippo.xx

I’m so sorry your gorgeous little chocolate hippo has peacefully passed over the bridge, sending big hugs. She will have known just how much you, Piggiedaddy and Ollie loved her
Sleep tight little lady 🌈

Oh no. So sorry to hear this. Thinking of you all and sending love.
Sleep tight gorgeous Tallulah 🌈

Thanks everyone, so sudden and she was only 3 and a half, but very peaceful- she was perfectly fine then a bit dizzy and sleepy then she went to bed and snuggled Ollie and drifted away...
Poor Ollie is distraught of course but he was with her at the end we left her with him until he understood she wasnt going to wake up :(

Oh my heart sank when I saw this thread. I’m so very sorry that Tallulah has joined the party at the Rainbow Bridge. Big hugs to you and Ollie. Popcorn freely Tallulah xx

So very sorry to hear this, what a shock for you all. I’m sorry. She sounded like an amazing pig. All the best to you all and to little Ollie. That wedding photo is so sweet- what an adorable pair.

I’m so sorry Tallulah has gone over the bridge. Bless her. I’m pleased she got to go peacefully with Ollie by her side.

i’m sorry you’ve lost your beautiful baby, sleep tight Tallulah🌈❤️

Thank you, its a big comfort how fast and peaceful it was. After we got the vet to help Jezzy floof over the bridge at the very end last December I've been very torn if it was the right decision, so I'm glad that last night we kept Tallulah at home with Ollie.
Of course we discussed an emergency out of hours vet rush last night at 9pm when we saw that something pretty major had happened to her but there wasnt anything to "treat" as such, she was just suddenly slipping away... I couldnt bring myself to seperate them and stress them to go see a vet miles away who might not know anything about skinny pigs... if she'd lasted the night we would have been at our own vet a mile away as soon as they opened at 8.30am but she'd gone by 6am and it was a nice end as much as these things can be nice, she just went to sleep...

So very sorry that you have lost your gorgeous chocolate hippo. 😢
You will miss this lovely lady who lived her life to the full.
She will leave a huge hole in your hearts and on the forum.
Holding you and PiggyDaddy in my heart ♥️
Be gentle with yourselves.

Ollie is so so sad... he is ok for a bit but when I go in his room he sort of looks up expectantly like he thinks I will bring her back then he sees I havent done and I look sad then he sort of remembers and realises she isnt coming back and physically cowers and starts shaking then squealing and runs away to hide... dinner was traumatic for us both because they normally have a double married bowl but today I had to find a single serve bowl and that just brought it all home :(

How very sad, I'm so sorry for your loss and for poor darling Ollie😢. Tallulah was a very special hippo and the Forum was much enlivened by her story over the years. 💔🌈

I’m so sorry that your beautiful chocolate hippo chose the rainbow. However it is comforting that she slipped away with her husboar next to her, knowing she was loved by all of you.

Take good care of yourself 💕

Very shocked and sad to see you’ve lost your beautiful little hippo :( Sending gigantic hugs to you, Piggydaddy and gorgeous Ollie, so sad for you all.
