Hello, I'm hoping to get some advice for developing our 2 boars' environment. We've had them for 2 weeks and they're still babies. I've got some liners and accessories coming v soon as well. They've got 12 square foot of space in their enclosure and come out daily for floor time as well. I have some wooden hides on order, and thier pellet and food plate that I removed when they are done with them each day. Thank you!

If you could add your picture directly to the thread so that don’t have to click on a third party site - as it is asking for sign in. Press attach files to add your picture.

Without being able to see the pictures at the moment, the comment I can make is that I would not use bowls or plates at all. Just throw veg and pellets directly into hay piles or loose on the cage floor so they have to forage for their food.
It is better enrichment than eating from a plate or bowl

Thank you for your help! I would like to mention that this picture was taken just after tidying up poop, the piggies have the bunny hide in their environment as well!

Thank you for the advice. I will scatter their veggies and pellets in future!
 
I would add two hay piles inside the cage and not bother with the rack on the outside, but otherwise it looks good!

I’d just make sure all hideys have 2 openings so that no piggy can be blocked in ( re dominance issues)
I’d also cover part of the c&c with a blanket or towel - they like undercover and dark spaces sometimes
What are doing re water ? It’s best to use filtered water to help prevent bladder stones ( I have a filter jug I use for me and them)
Basically use two of everything 😂
