Hiya

Well my 3 new girls arrived on Sunday and they have spent the week getting used to their new home and generally making a mess!

I have been toying with different names for them, but after a full week I am still not fixed and think it is time I stopped calling them the white one or the brown one!

I have read some beautiful and inventive names on these forums and wondered if any of you had any suggestions to put forward for names.

I will introduce the girls:

The only one I have settled on a name for is Melody Muppet, a ginger and white Texel. I wanted to call her muppet because of the long hair but it didn't sound very girly, hence Melody Muppet.

Girly 2 - a chocolate brown rex. I have toyed with Galaxy, Tia, Cola - trying to come up with a "brown" related name

Girly 3 - a white and chocolate himi. She is exceptionally fast, very nosy and first to explore. Wanted to find something original for her so was looking at Tibetan names, best offer so far is Yeshi which means blossom. Also thought of Dora as in Dora the Explorer.

Anyone got any suggestions? I really should give them their forever names soon or they might start getting a complex:-)

Hehe! It took us ages to name our girls too. Only Pippa was named within the first day :)) Poor Willow was Not-Pippa for days!

How about Hershey for your brown girl? (as in the American chocolate brand)

I like the sound of Yeshi, it's pretty :)

Girl 2 how about Charlie Brown not very girly but....

Girl 3 how about Lara Croft :(|)

I like Galaxy as a name. How about "Sienna", from "burnt sienna" which is a brownish shade of water colour?

Himis always remind a bit of a toasted marshmallow, so "Mallow" (which is also a flower) or "Marcia/Marsha" could be a name; or moonstone or crystal? Yeshi is very unusual, though!

How about Pepsi as in the drink - and the singer from the 80's?

Perhaps "Godiva" after the American chocolate brand? That would be a piggy I name I haven't come across yet. Or Galaxy Godiva!

Girly 3 has chosen her name

Hi

thanks for your suggestions. I think we have found a winner for girly 3, the himi. I tried a few of your suggestions on her and she responded to Lara, so I think she has chosen that name for herself!

Girly 2, the brown rex, won't stand still long enough for me to try some suggestions! I just see a brown blur go diving for her hut. Her colouring means she blends into the shadows so well, you don't know she's there till she makes a break for cover.
