Hello

I'm looking for suitable feeding hays that are £5 per 1kg bag or less. :)

The list at the moment is:
Excel Herbage
Excel Forage (can this be given unlimited?)
P@H Timothy Hay
Excel Chamomile Herbage
Pure Pastures Meadow Hay
Burns Green Oat Hay

Is there anymore that are suitable? Are the ones in my list suitable for feeding?

I get fantastic, soft green meadow hay from my local garden centre for £5.50 for a large bag, which I will use a handful per day at one end of cage for foraging and eating. However, these hays will be used in the hay rack as sort of treat hays. :)

You could try visiting local farm shops or pet shops, as you will surprised on what you find. I went to the local pet shop near my vets and was surprised to find readigrass and oxbow hay!

I searched on the net for local pet supplies near me and i visited them and found some nice things for the boys and the bonus is you dont pay postage. But you could also look on various websites and do a big order to save on the postage.

This is a good site for different hays and postage is reasonable to. http://www.thehayexperts.co.uk/

Thanks. I've had to choose cheaper feed hays due to cost, instead of the fancier hays, like timothy and orchard grass. Does this matter? I've kept the expensive Oxbow Cavy Cuisine because I think the benefits of feeding this outweighs the cost of it, however I can't afford expensive hays. Do other piggie owners feed cheaper hays?
