Hi - Is it in order to treat sows in the later stages of pregnancy with spot on spray for mites etc or should this be avoided until after littering?

Hi i would say wait untill she has her babies, just to be on the safe side X i wont be able to do mine untill she has babies.

I wouldn't treat a pregnant sow with anything like that...
If your sow is shoeing signs of mite your best bet is to take it to the vets and they will be able to give her the correct and safe treatment...
Spot on's are a big no-no for pregnant sows...

hi no its not safe to treat her, i rescued a pregnant sow (betty) and she had a very very bad case of mites, if you are worried take her to the vets, how far along is she

Maybe take your piggie to the vet to ensure she does have mites. Xeno is safe for pregnant sows, but please dont use it unless absolutly needed. Hense maybe pop to the vets for advice. I also agree maybe send an email to gorgeous guineas, shes got some great pregnant sow products and very knowledgable to help you.

Hope your girl's ok.

x.
