Adult Guinea Pig
Yesterday I had to make the horrible decision to have Sukie PTS, after her bladder problems had become severe. She had suspected kidney failure too, and was losing weight at a rapid rate, despite syringe feeding and still nibbling at food.
Sukie was my last pet shop animal, who I bought 5 years ago in a hurry after a sudden death. She was the last piggy in the shop, so no-one wanted her!
She was a right scruffbag and didn't really look that pretty when we first got her (obviously didn't matter to us, but is probably why she was the last in the shop!), but kind of grew into her hair and became a pretty piggy with a big smile and a lovely soft personality. The other two feisty madams brought her out of herself, and she gained quite a lot of confidence in her later years.
Confusingly, she kind of had two names, as we mostly called her Snow!
As a young piggy:
A little older:
Cutest smiley piccy ever, which was taken just before all 3 piggies started their bladder issues (so years ago now!):
Is it safe to come out?
This is one of the last piccies, taken in the summer just after I'd given her a summer haircut:
This one was also taken this year, with her best friend Holly:
I know you shouldn't have favourites, but she was mine.
RIP Snow Pig. x
