Sunbathing.

William LOVES to sunbathe and no matter what hideys are put in the run, areas of shade etc he will ALWAYS find the small spot of sun to lie down and sleep in.

Now of course this worries me as I do not want him to get heat stroke, so I am ALWAYS moving icepacks (wrapped in towels) and placing them next to him or moving a hidey over him for more shade.

Alan & Clive have NO interest in the sun and will always stick to the shade!

Anyone else's piggies prefer sunbathing to shadebathing?!

my lot were all sunbathing on monday... i was panicking slightly...
i covered the hutch and run with wet towels and they still found the little bits of sun and lay in it....
wish i got a photo of it... they were all lloving it...!

What makes me laugh the most is the run is COMPLETELY covered, so it's the teeniest bit of sun that gets in when the sun is at a certain angle and William laps it up! rolleyes

thats exactly like mine...
i had 4 of the girlies all piled up on top of each other because a corner of the towels had blown over and uncovered a bit and they were all wedged in there...
its comical isnt it... :)

Haha Fuzzy does this and the bizarre thing is he's a teddy/rex mix so he has THE thickest wooliest fur and I'm sweating without the fur lol! The Sun is on the back of the house in the afternoon which is where the pigs are, in the kitchen but it comes across diagonally so it doesnt make the kitchen hot but slices across one corner of the cage. He particularlly likes to lie in the sun with the breeze coming through the window! :)
