Sunflower heads

My OH's mum has given me loads of sunflower heads, are they safe to give to piggies? If so what can they have?

I dont think you can...i think i read somewhere that its bad for them BUT i may be wrong...hope someone with a bit more knowledge helps you soon!

sunflower heads can get stuck on their teeth maybe chocking hazard. seeds without shell is better. feed with caution as its very fattening as well.

It's the actual head of the flower, with the dry leaves on it.
