Why will this work? Can it beat my tipping piggy's?

This bowl has a base diameter much larger than its top cup diameter. Additional stability comes from the aluminum mass verses injected plastic as well as triple base height thickness. Mass is estimated at one kilo for the super bowl much less on the injected plastic sort.

Photos show blue standard plastic bowl and the super bowl in the first.
Second shows Beans in his standard tip the bowl over mode, front paws on edge of bowl snacking away. He cannot tip it as his mass is over the footprint of the base. I stood on the edge and could not tip it over.

Suggestions to do it yourself types, drill a hole through the bottom of your plastic bowl and insert a wood screw to hold a wood base to the bowl.

Your friend Frank

hi i got mine from a local petshop at $11 a bowl not cheap when i had to buy 6 of themmallethead i would rather get ones with bones for that price;)

those that come with \nero cages are just like that, in plastic. \never been dipped...

I really love that bowl - and Beanie seems to positively enjoy it! He looks right upfor an American-size portion of veg!

Ceramic bowls for me, as well! My collection ranges from granny's 80ties ornamental holiday souvenir dish to to posh promotional puddings that came in ceramic pudding dishes of the right size - cost: £0, aesthetic appeal: not much, but who cares?

I have bought cat bowls for mine I have found one @ B&M bargains which is only £1.49 it is ceramic and only just slightly bigger than the rabbit ones it is too heavy for george to tip over (he is good at tipping plastic ones :)) ) they are way cheaper than the heavy rabbit ones which I have only seen for about £3

I always use food hoppers and hayracks which attach to the side of the cage so no spills and the piggies cant sit in them ,little monkeys!

You can buy the bowls that fit a nero cage in several sizes the one that come with the nero 4 and two bigger sizes.

Wilkinsons sell them as dog bowls and they are the same picinic savic bowls - nero sized 49p biggest 85p.

I have these for all my piggies and they are not able to tip them when they have food in only when empty.

I find them very good esp as I have one girl who for some reason likes to try to get under the bowls

Oh Frank that's a great one for Beans x), he is such a monkey the way he tips everything rolleyes:))

My girls have the 'dog' type stainless steel bowls so they don't seem to tip at all! They just sit in it and scatter food and poops into it tho rolleyes

The girls give Beans lots of kisses xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
