Well I took Indy to the vets the other day and they couldn't see anything wrong with his teeth, so I'm trying to put some weight on him by syringe feeding. It seems to be working, but I don't know how often I should do it as he is eating normally too, just not enough obviously. I've been syringe feeding him soaked pellets for the last few days once or twice a day and he seems to be gaining a bit or at least not dropping any more.
Basically I just want to know how much and how often I should feed him. If anyone could enlighten me I'd be very grateful. x

I don't really know the answer, sorry.

But I was advised before to help a g-pig gain weight that feeding them sunflower seeds and rolled oats could help (and it did). Some people on here said it. But don't just take my word for it, in case I'm wrong :)) I guess see what other people here say first :)

usually when i get a new underweight piggie (emily was tiny) i just increase the dry food daily and give a few extra leaves

I've been fostering him for a few months and he was fine until a couple of weeks ago when his weight started to plummet. I assumed it was his teeth as he had work done on them before he came to me, but the vet said it wasn't that.

I'll try some fatty foods on him as well and see what happens. I don't want his 2 girlfriends gaining any more weight though :{ Little fatties. Maybe that's the problem...They may be stealing all the food, but then the bowl is usually never empty so I don't know.
