Hi all
I am a new owner my piggies are just turned 13 weeks old I’m just wondering what people use to store wood shavings and hay other than leaving it in the packaging trying to keep things tidier any ideas greatly appreciated
Thanks

We use large plastic storage containers with lids for bedding (paper bedding, fleece, etc.) They are quite cheap in The Range (UK) but you can get them in lots of other stores.
A large plastic breakfast cereal container works well for storing nuggets.

I have two of the large blanket box sized containers from the Range for Hay and Fleece, I store nuggets in old Quality Street Tins.

We store our hay in it’s packaging in this box from IKEA

And the extra bags up stairs

Just asking as was thinking of using plastic boxes with lids but not sure if the hay and wood shavings will still be okay in there between uses

I’m sure it will be fine.
We store a bale of hay in a garden storage box outside currently in a summerhouse. Pellets in a plastic cereal box
With flip lid. I also have a large draw string bag for hay which lasts about a week which we keep in the house. An old pillowcase is good for hay storage too

Our main hay is in a large bin outside, with various bags of 'special' hay underneath the piggy tables (their cages are up on tables).
Seeing how others manage I really need a more attractive solution I think!
Mine looks like a barn (in the corner of my living room).

I store my hay in one of the Horse Wash Bags from Amazon ... keeps it all tidy! My nuggets are in a tin that is really for washing powder - never used for wash powder btw...

Not related but I use my washing powder tin for dishwasher salt lol
