Hi, i have read lots about bonding on here but I'm still a bit worried about taking in another boar and him not bonding with my solo boar,
I've notice a very strong smell every time I go to the hutch this has only happened in the last few weeks, I believe this to be scenting as I've also seen them licking small urine patches on their towels lately. I have witnessed more signs that my three boars are not getting on a group of three (two have bonded) the other...yes my little Oreo is on his own a lot more now so I've been hunting for a friend for him, not being near any of the rescues above, I have found out I'm near one of wood greens smaller shelters :) and I'm so pleased to see they had a lovely single boar there that said needs a lonely boar as a friend :) I was even more excited to hear that he is still available, after a lovely long chat on the phone to @MrsSuzy I'm hoping this handsome piggy with be ours if we can bond him with Oreo. They will have Oreo for a few hours to see if he bonds....please keep your fingers crossed for me everyone :) x
 
Thank you Helen, I honesty don't mind what his friend looks like as long as they bond I don't want my Oreo on his own or this piggy having to live on his own either.

Thank you so much everyone I hope he bonds with him. I will get very grateful of any bonding tip you have to share guys please, I know he will have a fab loving home with us but it's the boar bonding that's a worry.
 
Fingers crossed it goes well hun. I think you are making a very wise and well researched choice and you know you have the back up of everyone on here if you need help with anything or just a bit of advice :) :) xx
 
Come on little Oreo be nice to your new friend. And new piggy be nice to little Oreo he only wants a friend. Fingers crossed for you. :tu:
 
Hiya :) It was lovely chatting with you and really crossing all fingers and toes the boys will bond :) I took some lovely photos of Alex the other day and will post them here when they are ready :)

:) it was lovely talking to you to Suzy, sorry if I waffled on lol. I can not wait to meet Alex he sounds lovely and looks a very cutie, I'm shocked he's not found a home already. I've had a chat with Oreo this evening during our evening cuddle and I Told him all about meeting Alex, and that he must be nice and friendly to him :)

Dont apologise for waffling on, I do the same, especially when it is about piggies. Could talk about them all day!

Thank you Suzy, I'm trying not to get excited but my friends and family have got their fingers crossed for me that they bond. Will be lovely to meet you too :) I sent a reply to your email thank you.
 
Oreo has been permanently removed from his brothers one of them bite him over night, the wound is clean and not bleeding but I'm taking him to the vets for a check up tomorrow, I want to make sure he's ok and 100% well before meeting Alex.
