Hi,
Took my piggies to the vets as one of them has a crusty bit on his ear and he prescribed surolan for them both. I’ve read up on different reviews on if it’s worked or not.
Has anyone else has these for their piggies and did they work? They’re only meant to be on them 7 days so tomorrow is their last day.
It seems to have cleared up the crusty bit though.
Thanks.

Surolan is quite an effective combined topical antifungal and antibacterial ointment, it should work fine on small localised skin infections caught early on, but in more serious cases of widespread infection it would need combining with oral medicines.
Hope this helps!

Ah Thankyou. Not really sure what it is really I thought it was ear mites maybe but he used it to treat too much wax I think so not sure if it helps both and it’ll just get better.

We used it effectively on a piggy with Ringworm. He was a baby a vet felt it more effective given his size. His infection was caught early and specific to one small area.

I have also used this successfully on a boar who had a small fungal patch on his belly (not ring worm).
