It seems like reducing pellets has helped him gain then I read they eat more hay if you reduce pellets.

Still having calcium pee but it seems less concentrated if that makes sense.

Forage tomorrow.
It makes a lot of sense 🍪

Hi guys. Don't care. Currently zooming.

I had 10 pellets this morning.

Barrett woke mom up at 5:30. WTF Barrett?

We've got another estimate on window replacement today.

Do you guys have condos in your country? Mom's thinking about moving into an apartment condo when she's older as long as there's a room for guineas. Cause guess what she's going to continue getting guineas in the future. She wouldn't have to weed the garden in a condo.

Forage in a bit.

Keep on chillin.

It sounds like a good way of getting onto the property ladder and investing. I'm not an expert though. I think it's important to check it all out carefully 🏡 Zooming and nice and round, sounds excellent! 👌 Great that Mommy Slave is going to stay with piggies ❤️ They are so wonderful 🥰

She wants to try female guineas sometime. Maybe one of us will get neutered if the other dies. But never one that needs a fur trim!

Mom finally got up the courage to feel my pee. It wasn't gritty, thank goodness. It was gross and she said excuse me boys gotta go wash and left.

But because it wasn't gritty I got forage.

I hate it when the slaves get funny about stuff like that, they claim to have no sense of smell. We smell wonderfully boarish 🙂

Hello survivors,

right now I'm a bit blue. I broke my front tooth! Slave phoned the vet who asked all the right questions; yes, I can still eat even if I struggle a bit with hay and no I dont act like I'm in pain. I'm still very hungry for everything. I have to pick my hays a bit more carefully right now, but slave spent hours just looking at me eating and I'm very good at find the ones I can have! Obviously nothings wrong with my jaw or molars. I chew like a champ.
Vet told slave to take a deep breath and call again if I seem to have trouble with eating, loses my appetite or acting like In discomfort. It will grow back and then we might need to do a trim.

Best part is slave is so worried she handfeeds me, even thought she knows I can eat my veg without any problems if she just chop them in smaller pieces. And she gives me critical care! I'm so pleased and such a good boy. I love syringe feeding, she doesn't even have to take me up from my cage. I come running when feel I the smell and slave has to slow me down because I eat very fast. 15ml is not even 10mins. And after I eat hay. Slave says she just want to "top me" with critical care, but I say I can easily have unlimited critical care and hay.

Someone that really loves syringes and critical care? Djingis. He tries to steel the syringe everytime so slave multi tasks - me with her right hand, Djingis with her left hand.

Slave is now wondering if she should put a divider up and re-bond us when my tooth is back again? I'm a handful, and slave cant really find the words for Djingis. Troublemaker. He loves to tease me, I tell him off and he runs away in popcorns. We eat together and Djingis has teached me its very fun to go outside our magic carpet during floor-time and go to slaves bedroom. We love master bedrooms!
How would you other slaves do? Whats the best?

Love Kongo

Broken tooth - no problems!

Oh Kongo, teeth are a big cause of worry and stress for slaves. But you are wisely reassuring your slaves by accepting lots of food, smart piggy. I think I can hear lots of slaves saying "no divider😲" : slave to grow a second hand 😉 They might even say put the sock back on, anything, but no divider 😄
Come on tooth, grow, grow, quickly 💜

Survivors

Mom's going to type up our care sheets at the library when we go down for naps. She doesn't own a printer.

She has to get cat food for the boarders and a little container for my pellets.

We just love our urinary biscuits.

A week and a half till France!

She's really sick and tired about talking about windows with salesmen. She doesn't know what quote she's going with, she's going to let her trustee decide but she's gotta get one replaced soon because moisture is getting in the wall

I got 10 pellets.

Well done Stripe! The urinary biscuits must make the pellets reduction less difficult 🍪 MS is going to get us some 👍
Yes, it's nice to have slaves who type care sheets and get windows fixed to stop damp. We really don't always show them the appreciation they deserve. Paws up who nipped their slave at nail trimming time ☺️
Paris very soon, exciting ✈️

Let me guess: Polo? Certainly not truffle!

I second that, no divider if the bond isn't in trouble.

Hope you're tooth grows soon!
My feeling to. It would just be cruel to separate them when they are newly married and still very curious about each other. I just dont want Kongo to feel disturbed by little ADHD-pig or lash out because of this toothiething and break the bond beyond reparable. Its hard to get their social codes sometimes 😅

He was very cute with that sock on his head! I would gladly put that sock on ☺️

Love Kongo ♥️

Mom's putting her hand in the cage and letting me come to her. When I do she pets my back. I tolerate it for a minute then walk away. But last time I popcorned all over! She's thinking... maybe 🤔 I like it? Usually she only pets at lap time.

We started letting MS pet us. At first we seemed just being polite, but now she can stroke us down our backs. Food first though, if the hand is supposed to have treats in it and it turns out to be empty, it gets nose bumped away 😄

Cages in an hour, work in 4 hours.

Last night the boys were wheeking for attention and I said I'll be right there boys after I smoked they were sleeping.

I actually have to bring hides to the boarder's, they don't have them.

We have a clear pee!

The pellet reduction is working.

Forage tomorrow.

Now...why is the washing machine making a noise?

One of the experts on here said some white pee is normal. It's the body's way of excreting calcium. He just did a white one now. But he had ten pellets.

They just love their biscuits! I like watching them crunch.

Dear survivor pigs,

exhausted slave here. Its not Kongo and his mouth that stresses me out. He's out of the blue and eats with a good appetite again. I still top him with critical care to be sure he gets enough, but I dont have to count every ml.

Djingis Kahn. He starts to get veryvery friendly. Sometimes I'm scary, but most times I can pet him while in cage. He starts to enjoy lap time and cuddles. He comes if I sit by the cage and he loves to be fed from a syringe. he steals Kongos. I always give him little in a bowl but he wants the syringe. And ofc, I think its good for him to practice on if he gets sick in the future.

But if he wants something, he bites my hands. Hard. Not a nibbling. If I have veggie in my hand he just bites me until he gets it. Right now he is biting me to get Kongos syringe, and does not stop until I give him. I tried this gently push his head up but he just runs away very offended, and one minute later he is back to bite again.

He stopped biting us when we want to handle him, besides mani-pedi. I think he even likes us. Yesterday he slept on my lap for a little while, and enjoyed a massage. He talks (screams) alot for attention and gets so happy when we answer him.

How on earth do I work with this behaviour? Its not very nice.

Love from slave

Piggies learn very quickly, so it should be possible to train him. If he bites, he shouldn't get food. If he doesn't bite, he gets the food. Can you stop him before he bites? Maybe a divider? Or see him coming and stand up. If he stops and thinks, let him have the food. Then he learns that not biting brings him food and biting gets him nothing.

They are very quick, which makes it difficult. Try not to push or shout, that will confuse him. I think he might have been handled by small children whom he could bully, or perhaps someone teased him and taught him to use his teeth for fun when he was a baby. Then he grew up and his teeth also grew bigger. Polo and Truffle have learned to sit up and beg, which is very cute. Perhaps he could do tricks and work for his food 😇

I think Polo's wee is a bit better, so I'll keep him on a low pellet diet for a bit longer. He's also getting more cucumber and lettuce, so it's difficult to know which is having an influence. Getting enough vitamin D might be tricky without pellets unless they get sunshine.
Polo: 😎⛱️☀️

First it was Metacam, now it's the pellets 😣

I think the previous owners didnt handle him very much at all. They described him as shy, and I call him a bit shameless. He's not totally sure about us hoomans all the time but he acts more like a pray-animal than a shy personality. He needs some more time to really start to trust us, ofc.
Last days I have been pretty bad at not "giving in" and he was very quick to bite in a second again. but learn tricks is a very good advice! Its a fun way to work on his trust. II'll bring the oven gloves 😅
