Yesterday Djingis locked himself in a corner. He was trying so hard to move those three-lions but 1-0 to slave! He was so pissed and jumped/crawed over them. On the way in to the corner it went all good. On his way back? Nope. I saw that white little nose trying to crawl back. And heard. Slave was a bit tired of him never accepts that corner is OUT OF THE QUESTION so she didnt help him for a little while. Like 15 minutes. He was so quick when slave finally moved those lion. Five minutes later he crawled over them again. Oh come on Djingis Kahn!

The headlines (head lions?) said: "Brave Guinea Pig Holds Off Three Lions Until Rescued by Slave" I knew she would come eventually, said Djingis.

Mom got home at 10 last night and heard lots of noise. She opened the door...it was Chez scuttling around on the coroplast. Phew, he was still in the cage. We took the opportunity to beg for a cookie and got one. Then when we finished chewing we asked for another so mom said nope! See you in the morning.

Mom only has 12 hours in between shifts!

Finally caught Djingis pancaking his mat. He looks... well, like hes stuffed with marmelade.


Kongo put his little critical care spotted-nose up in the air telling "slave! I'm your handsome. Take a picture of ME!"

The electric fan burnt out. MS noticed an unpleasant smell and found the fan leaning against the wall where she was sure she hadn't put it. It stinks so she will chuck it in the electrical recycling tomorrow. It's cool enough now not to need a fan, but MS put it on to chase away a fly. Thank goodness for fuses. It was bought new in June. What a summer

I know that stress with "how am I supposed to have time to sleep?". I often work 13hour shifts two days in a row, with 11 hours rest. Third day - often 7,5 hour with start 7.30am - is done for making a terrible work. Around 11.00 the third day I'm like over and out completely.

Dont it have a warranty? A month is like nothing? These days I wouldnt want to live without a fan. Ask me on Wednesday though, when the rain is falling again and I will go around in a knitted sweater and freeze

MS has lost the receipt She must have put it somewhere safe (as usual). But it was only £20. She's worried about fans now if their motors get hot it seems that eventually they will burn out

She thinks I'm having more fun with scattered forage and it has calcium in it.

We've been foraging for ten minutes and Chez popcorned.

Dear Stripe

We get both pellets and forage. It's complete sacrilege to think that you won't get both. We get our allowance of 1 tablespoon per piggy per day of pellets for breakfast (scatterfed) and we have a supper of 3 pea flakes each, 3 apple chunks and a bowl of forage. You need to make sure you get both. To do this you must:

• Do lots of really stinky poop
• Do a huge wee on your Slave at cuddletime
• Look really hungry
• Deposit poops down your Slave's bra

Hopefully this will get you both forage and pellets.

It's 7:15 and she already cleaned our cages. She has to go to work this morning and wanted to do our laundry.

Ahem... she got two of my poops in chez's clean cage.

When we have a clean cage we behave for quite a while. We get so excited.

After some months when you feel like a predator everytime they see you and then suddenly they enjoy our hooman company is such a sweet feeling Djingis actually screams Hello sometimes now. Often he does that when I come home with something that smells alot and very nice like basil, minth or fresh grass. If I just have things like cucumber I can leave the house again.

Hello survivor friends!

This weekend I've done my best to give slave a headache. Slave is so mad att me because I tend to do my little numbers on weekends when my vet is out of office.

This weekend I have been very affected by the heat. I've been a bit slow and didnt even really want my cc-topping when slave offered me. When slave did a very good one with some mashed pellets and some pressed apple I ate.

Suddenly yesterday evening I perked up. I was begging and ate with a good appetite. I did a little escape number too and I'm still too short to open the fridge. Dang, like the kids says!

Today it seems like I have adapted to this very warm weather. I beg alot, eat my hay and my topping-syringe.

Djingis has also been a bit slow these days. Tomorrow its gonna rain but still be around 28°. Slave is just happy I seemed to adjusted and are still a bit mad I just have to do this slow down-numbers on a Friday night. Monday to Friday, when vet are in office! she says. She doesn't get I dont want to see the vet and thats why I always perk up and show her I'm fine on Sunday evenings. The animal-ER hospital is very good with cats and dogs, not Guinea pigs. Go to the ER-vets is always the last option if we are veryvery poorly, slave says. thank you ma'm!

My new toothies are very shiny, by the way. So happy to have them!

I chattered my teeth at med time today, so she didn't do lap time. Too bad for her. She really wanted a cuddle.

We have been really enjoying our scattered forage. Usually in the evening is our bad begging time, but last night we were content to forage without begging. We never beg in the morning.

Mom's got 4 days off in a row! Today she has to get groceries and clean kitchen.

She has 500 pages left of her book so she used self control not to buy another book.

Actually her existentialism display has sold some books and now they are talking about potentially making mom a manager in September, maybe if she can tick all the boxes of the new review process!

I agree with Kongo it has been too hot. No rain in sight yet, and I'm a bit disappointed. Its not as hot as it has been, though. Kongo is back to his normal self and thinks I'm a cheap one not giving him more cucumber. He anger-eats hay
