Sven passed away

So sorry for your loss. My heart sank when I saw his name.
You tried so hard for him and he knew he was loved.
Take some comfort that you where there for him and comforted him in his last moments.

I'm so sorry. We were all rooting for Sven, but sometimes it's just not meant to be. You did all you could. Sven knew he was loved and could not possibly have had better caretakers. We're all mourning with you.

You guys are the best! It has been such a comfort to read all of your condolences. Thank you for that and for all of your advice and support while Sven was alive. I still can’t believe he is gone. I have been loving on my other 5 piggies a lot the last two days.
 
The support you get on here is amazing! I have found that in the past. Everyone just is there for you. It's like a big forum wide hug with friends from all over coming to comfort you:).

Yes it is! It’s hard to find people who really understand. Besides my husband (I’ve converted him to a piggy slave) the rest of my family doesn’t really get it. My mom came over when Sven was dying and saw me crying holding him and said “wow, I guess you really got attached to him”.

It's hard not to get attached they are such adorable little creatures! Even my OH admits to liking them "a bit" but goes all gooey if he's given one to cuddle.:love:
 
I thought maybe the rest of my herd did not really notice that Sven was gone, but Elsa used to lay on the upper level right next to Sven with the bars between them. Even before he came to us, she loved the upper level and spent a lot of time up there. I just realized that she has not been up there at all since Sven passed away, maybe that is her way of mourning him.
 
Guinea pigs do mourn in their own way.
I’m noticing the way that Merab and Jemimah interact is changing since Keziah died.
Elsa is probably missing Sven in her own way
 
I am feeling heartbroken knowing this... I actually was having a close update on Sven and his health from your threads... devastated hearing thia... Very sorry for your loss. My mom used to say, was a myth she believed that when your loved ones fall sick or leave the world forever they are actually taking your bad time along with them. They intend to take all your bad times on themselves to make your world a better place to live in. I feel Sven loves your family and Elsa so so much that he is become your God angel to take care of you all. Sven the handsome lad.. popcorn free dear..
