I finally found this thread to post about my sweet little Sven. He had been through 3 homes before coming to me and I thought he would finally have a stable forever home with me. I had him neutered since he and Elsa showed so much interest in each other and because they all share outdoor time. He developed an abscess and after two weeks of syringe feeding, antibiotics, pain meds, vet visits, and a surgery to remove the abscess it was just too much for his body to handle. He died in my arms, it was so hard. I feel guilty about getting him neutered, but try to tell myself that I was trying to give him a good life with my piggies. I have a great vet and have had two others neutered with no problems so I never thought anything bad would happen. We only had him for 6 weeks, but we fell in love with this weird little hairless creature! We love you Sven!

Oh, I am so sorry for your loss.

I was hoping he would be very happy with his new wife. You gave him the best chance of a happy life and I am sure the last 6 weeks were his best ever.
