I'm having to change the water bottles to bowls (having problems with neighbour and the walls are so thin, worries about the noise) will my piggies know how to use a bowl for water in stead of the bottles? I'm just worried they won't know how to use it and get thirsty!

Our girls have a bowl and bottle. But even if you have a ceramic bowl you may find noises coming from that because they like to clang teeth against it lol

Lol thank you.. Our neighbours are strange and we are worried they are now going to complain about any noise they hear at all (long story)

Eh... how can you hear a piggy drinking through a wall? XD

I'd rather not use a bowl, I worry too much lol!

We had issues with our last neighbour, only they were over the top with their noise. They lived above us in a flat.. it started off with the tenants daughter having parties which would have been ok if they hadn't thrown food outside my windows, spat on my window, thrown a fag end in, broke bottles in my garden etc. because I reported them for being TOO loud, it was so loud that you could hear them on the next street, so then the Mum started to purposely stamp around the flat... when I did finally speak to her she told me a load of bs, but I made sure she knew I knew it was BS lol. I live in a detached bungalow now, I moved partly because of them...

alot of piggies won't use bowls, and they get dirty quickly. i'd keep the bottles, especially if the neighbours haven't even said anything.... yet! or if you think they will complain eventually, start trying the bowl now, aswell as providing the bottles, just to see what they do.

i give a bowl in this weather. they won't drink from it but benjie dips his whiskers in! :)) :luv:

My two have a bottle and a bowl and Willow actually prefers the bowl over the bottle. It does get mucky quick though. The Savic source bottles that have a little leaver that the pig moves to get water are a lot quieter than the standard ball baring ones, if your piggies can learn how to use them. Took my two a while but once they were given a bowl to drink from they mostly ignored it.

My piggies have bottles, and sometimes bowls in the summer with an ice cube to keep cool or if i have a poorly piggie i always use bowls as a back up.
My bunny always had a bottle and a bowl, i find he dose not like bottles and only drinks from a bowl and he isn't as messy as the piggies so i don't have to change it 3-4 times a day, just twice - the same as i do bottles.
