So the girls are going to be six months in February and will be due to swap over to adult pellets? My dilemma is that they don't have enough pellets to last them till Feb. Can I swap them over to the adult pellets earlier? I plan on using the Oxbow pellets for adults as they eat the same brand in young pellets, will this be suitable as it's the only brand they have here except from the supermarket and I think Vetafarm pellets.

I think you would be fine to switch over to adult pellets at their age, just start transitioning them over by mixing their old food with the new, while you still have some bag left of the young cavy pellets. I switched my similar aged babies over to adult pellets when they moved in with my older girl, I would just supplement with a bit of alfalfa hay, if they don't already have it, until they reach 6 months. I use the oxbow adult pellets and my herd of 4 seem to enjoy them(though I only recently switched from another brand).

Thanks for your reply :) I better start doing that then because I don't have much left of their young pellets.
