Swapping Over To Nuggets

good morning piggie lovers
I have 10 guinea pigs and have always fed them on muesli but my piggies are very fussy and I do seem to waste a lot.
I am trying to swap them over to nuggets and would like advice on how to do it.
I have bought some burgess and some Harrington’s and have been mixing this in with their food. Some seem to like it and some don’t
Do you have any suddestions which brand would be the tastiest to buy so that I can swap them over

I can’t recommend a brand as I am not in the UK and not sure of the product range there.

But you are doing it right by mixing the food and slowly decreasing the amount of old type.

You may find above link interesting. With 10 piggies I suspect you won't please them all with one nugget, I have enough trouble with 4! I'm currently feeding a mix of JR Farm grainless and Science Selective Grainless, mainly because my younger pair were having trouble with the rather large size of the JR Farm.

I have wondered about getting 2 or 3 different nuggets and mixing them up in the hope that it will appeal to all of them. Or will I just be getting back to selective feeding again lol... you know how fussy they can be

I've swapped mine over a few times from different pellets to muesli and back again by doing as you are gradually introducing the new with the old until they are all eating the new stuff. They are all on Harringtons now love it. The reason I swapped them from pellets to muesli was the late Lenny & Gizmo would only eat muesli and if I gave them pellets thought they were being poisoned and they ate every bit of the muesli they loved it so much. My current herd of 5 left most of the muesli so I put them back on Harringtons nuggets.

Most of mine seem to live the Harrington’s so I might stick with that
I have a couple of old girls that don’t like the nuggets and a little boy that I have to monitor his weight so i thought I would keep using muesli to mix in with those 2 but persevere with the Harrington’s for the rest
