Swede?

Ooo you read me mind I was going to ask this! I have half a swede in me fridge just going to waste!

I'm sure they can, but can anyone confirm? :)
 
I feed mine swede peelings and most seem to like them. If muddy, I wash it first.

Sometimes I also feed sliced swede but obviously not straight out of the fridge or when it is too hard.

My mum isdoing a casserole and she has saved swede peelings so thought i would ask lol.
 
Thanks! Will take it out the fridge for the night and feed tomorrow! Don't suppose they will like it they don't like anything white or yellow in colour! Like Parsnips! rolleyes
 
I've not tried squash yet! They don't like pumpkin thats for sure!

I always say mine aren't fussy but deep down they probably are! :))
 
Yep and its high vit c too! But mine dont like it much, it an aqquired taste...
 
Some of mine will eat swede but I don't think they're too keen. I find with the vegetables they don't like as much if I chop them into smaller pieces they will eat them. If I put a whole cabbage leaf in they wont touch it but if I slice it up thinly they eat it all. Very odd!

I agree. Feed it small, and they will eat it! :))
 
I have never tried my piggies with swede I never knew you were allowed to :)
 
I have just given my 3 piggies swede and it has gone down a storm :)

George is the same when I introduce a new veg I have to chop it up before he will eat it (think the smell comes out more then). Once he knows what a veg is i can get lazy and just give him chunks!
