Junior Guinea Pig
Tonight Cookie was put to sleep. She wasn't even 6 months old. I'd have had her 5 months tomorrow. These photos were taken just last week.
She was such a little character (as most guinea pigs are!). Despite Peanut being the more dominant, Cookie was always they first to investigate things, it was as if Peanut would tell her 'go on, you go first!'
She was small for her age (only 600g compared to Peanut's 750g) but she could run so much faster! Blink and you'd miss her when she was enjoying floor time, or doing her nightly laps of her cage. I hope she enjoyed her short life with me. She lived in the spare bedroom in a nice C&C cage and came out every night for floor time or cuddles. She loved running round and was a little tinker, trying to move the wooden boards I'd put out so she could investigate under the tv cabinet.
I tried my best to make her better but it was agreed tonight with the vet there was nothing they could do, without causing her more stress and pain. It's good to know I did my best for her.
So sweet dreams Little One.
