On Monday morning I had to help Pebble over the rainbow bridge. He had been suffering with a possible bladder stone. He was 4 years old. He also had a dental in January and the vet said both of these issues had a high chance of reoccurrence.

This is him with his first buddy Pepper

And here was him meeting Patrick for the first time. This was not him humping him. He just wanted to cuddle him 🥰

Pebble you were a very friendly piggy. We will miss you so much❤️

You went over the bridge with a belly full of coriander and carrot. Popcorn high over there with Pepper.

What a lovely tribute to a very special boy, and those photos are gorgeous. Lovely Pebble.

I’m so sorry the time came to say goodbye, but I’m glad it was peaceful. You have given him a life full of love and happiness, always putting his needs first, right until the end. How glad he must have been to be under your care, feeling safe and loved.

Take care - we’re all here and we know how hard this can be. Sweet dreams lovely Pebble.

It’s a lovely heart felt post of Pebble
What a gorgeous piggy
He was living his life his way …all a piggy could want
He enriched your lives and Pepper’s and Patrick’s
In time those wonderful memories will give you comfort ❤️

BIG HUGS

I am so sorry that you had to send Pebble to join his bestie Pepper at the Bridge.

You have made your choice with his best interests - freedom from recurring pain and incurable major health issues needing repeated major operations - in mind. It is the most loving but at the same time heartbreaking gift we can make, and it is never done lightly.

Pebble has very obviously had a wonderful life with you, with great mates and being able to be himself to the fullest and to enjoy himself. Guinea pigs live in the now, and as long as each moment is a good one, then life is OK and it doesn't matter if it is not the longest (but neither was his the shortest). Sadly, for Pebble, the good moments were running out...

Be kind with yourself as you grieve.

What a lovely tribute to Pebble.
He lived a life full of love and will leave a huge hole in your heart.
He was one of my forum favourites and also be missed here.
Be gentle with yourself as you grieve.
Hugs 🤗

Oh Weeps I’m so sorry about pebble - my heart sank reading your post. I wish I’d seen this sooner and I’ve no excuse other than our lives have been a bit full on with both our Mums not being well.

Pebble was totally adorable and what a lovely tribute to him. He fought with courage and thanks to your love he had the most amazing life.

Thinking of Patrick and of you and your family and Pebble sweet dreams dearest piggy xxxxx
